Vibe: Elegant, Rustic
Why I love it: Bridlewoods Event Center is the perfect one-stop shop for your wedding venue. Between the bridal suite to get ready at, the large lawn with a beautiful arbour for your ceremony, the patio for cocktail hour, and the spacious interior for your reception, you’ll have a space for everything. There are also spots on the premises for photos, but it is close enough to the Vedder River and Chilliwack Lake Road so you won’t have to travel far to find an epic location for your portraits!

FRASER RIVER LODGE
Vibe: Rustic, Epic, Chill
Why I love it: The Fraser River Lodge takes epic wedding venues to a whole new level. The unparalleled, unique, incredible view of Mt. Cheam is visible from almost everywhere on the property. You have the option of having your ceremony on the lawn, with the views of Mt. Cheam behind you, the tent in case it is rainy, and in the event hall if it’s a cold day. Speaking of their event hall, it is a stunning, spacious but cozy space with lots of room for your tables and dance floor! Beyond that, there are great spots for both you and your partner to get ready there! The bridal suite was recently renovated into the perfect place to start your wedding morning with lots of mirrors and a changing room, and the games room (complete with a pool table) is the perfect place to suit up and chill! The staff there are also incredible and will make sure you and your guests have the most amazing time!

THE FALLS GOLF COURSE
Vibe: Elegant, Simple, Immersed in Nature
Why I love it: The Falls has a way of taking its incredible natural surroundings and elevating it to an elegant experience for you and your guests. It’s situated in a beautiful spot: on top of a hill overlooking the Fraser Valley and surrounded by BC’s lush forests. If the views weren’t enough to convince you, the Falls also has 3 wonderful spots for your wedding festivities. They have a room attached to the main building to host ceremonies in, they have a beautiful lawn for outdoor ceremonies, and they have a pavilion for your gorgeous reception! Every one of these spots is simultaneously a perfect blank slate, and also doesn’t need anything done to it to be beautiful! You can go as hard or as little as you want with your decor here, and it will always turn out stunning. All that to say, my all-time favourite part of this venue is the sheer amount of spaces you have to take your wedding portraits! You and your wedding party get to hop in to your own golf carts and be escorted around the golf course, taking in some solid nature, beautiful views, and curated gardens. It’s the best!

THE BARN AT HAZEL CREEK FARMS
Vibe: Rustic, Farm, Casual
Why I love it: The Barn at Hazel Creek Farms is such a winner! It has so many beautiful spaces to host your wedding. Between the upper barn in all of its rustic glory, to the outdoor patios, to the cute bridal suite, and the main room for your reception, this place has it all. They also allow access to other areas of the property so you know you’ll have some epic portraits! They have great views of the Chilliwack Mountains, orchards, trees, and a field! There’s seriously no bad place to shoot here. Other bonuses are that they have tons of parking, chairs, sound systems, and connections to local caterers! And here’s one of the best parts: they only book one wedding a weekend, so you get access to it from Thursday to Monday! They only book 10 events per year, so you better hustle if this sounds like your dream spot!

The Grand Hall
Vibe: Ritzy, Elegant, Great Gatsby Esque
Why I love it: The Grand Hall is just what Chilliwack needs! It is a gorgeous event space right in the heart of downtown Chilliwack. Surrounded by the newly established District 1881, you’ll find yourself amongst amazing breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, and other small businesses. The Grand Hall is the perfect place for your mid-size wedding with an incredible space to throw an unforgettable reception. Complete with huge arching windows, gorgeous chandeliers, and elegant furnishings, you don’t have to do much more (if anything) to make it the perfect place for your wedding. The Grand Hall team is also opening up a boutique hotel right next to the venue, so you know you’ll have a top-of-the-line spot to get ready for your wedding day!
